Over the past 50 years, Christ & Holy Trinity Preschool has been an integral part of Westport’s community and has enjoyed a long tradition as a leading preschool. We invite you and your family to visit with us and tour the school grounds.
The formal admissions process begins a year in advance of a child’s attendance, however we invite you contact us at any time to inquire about openings in the current or upcoming school year.
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is ongoing. Our 2s, 3s and 5s are now full for the 2024-25 school year and we are accepting applications for our wait list. There is limited availability remaining in our 4s. Please reach out to schedule a tour if you are interested.
We will begin tours for the 2025-26 school year the week of October 7, 2024. Please call the office (203) 226-4616 or email director@chtwestport.org to schedule a tour. We generally recommend that families come in during the school day so you can see the school in session (10am or 11am), but we can also accommodate afternoon tours if that works better for your schedule. Children are welcome when you come for a visit. We look forward to meeting you!
For those families facing financial challenges, we offer Financial Aid Assistance on the basis of need. All financial aid applications will go through FAST (link below) and all information received will be kept strictly confidential.
For Tuition costs for the 2024-2025 school year please see the 2024-2025 General Registration Letter. Tuition information for the 2025-26 school year will be posted in mid-October.
Christ & Holy Trinity Preschool is now utilizing the Independent School Management Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) Program to process applications for Financial Assistance. The deadline to submit your Financial Aid Application is December 15, 2023. To apply, please click the application below.
If the application is not complete, it cannot be considered. All information received will be kept strictly confidential.
If your family qualifies for Financial Assistance, you will be notified in writing and the related materials will be mailed from the Director’s Office by December 31, 2023.
To register your child for the 2024 - 2025 school year, the signed contract and first tuition payment are due by January 15, 2024..
WHAT ARE THE RELEVANT DATES FOR THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
For the 2025-2026 School Year, the relevant dates are listed below:
FALL ENROLLMENT
For those submitting Applications before December 31, 2024:
• October 30, 2024 Preschool Applications and fees ($250) accepted for current families. Priority enrollment from October 30, 2024 - November 13, 2024.
• November 14, 2004 Preschool Applications and fees accepted for new families. Acceptance Letters sent on a rolling basis.
• December 16, 2024 All Financial Aid Applications due
• January 13, 2025 Deadline to accept/deny financial aid grant
• January 15, 2025 Contracts & 1st tuition payment due
OPEN ENROLLMENT
For those submitting Applications after January 1, 2025:
• Applications and registration fees ($250) may be submitted for any remaining spots in the program
• Financial Aid application may be submitted with your Enrollment Application to apply for any remaining funds available
WHAT IS THE ORDER OF ADMISSIONS?
During the 2025-2026 school year, the Preschool will operate programs for Twos, Threes, Fours and Fives. An effort is made to create gender-balanced classrooms, although this is not always possible. To ensure the quality of the program and to comply with safety and space regulations set by the State of Connecticut, enrollment in the Preschool is limited.
Priority enrollment at CHT Preschool is offered to:
• Children or siblings of children currently enrolled in Preschool programs who submit applications during priority enrollment period.
• Children or siblings of children previously enrolled in the program
• Children of CHT Church parishioners or members.
• For 2s enrollment, due to the Connecticut’s recent change to the age cutoff for kindergarten admission (age 5 by September 1), priority will be given to students who will be 2 years old by September 1, 2025.
WHEN ARE TUITION PAYMENTS MADE?
It is the parent’s responsibility pay their child's full annual tuition rate prior to their child's first day of school unless an alternate payment schedule has been arranged with the Director. Families are expected to pay their tuition in 6 monthly payments beginning in January 2025. Tuition invoices will be issued through our school portal, Brightwheel, where payments can be made using ACH ($0.90 fee) or credit card. If paying by credit card an additional 2.9% will be added to cover credit card fees incurred. Families may also pay by check made payable to: Christ & Holy Trinity Preschool. Tuition payments may be delivered directly to the preschool office at 45 Church Lane, Westport, CT 06880 or may be mailed to: Christ & Holy Trinity Church, Attn: Preschool Director, 55 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, CT 06880.
